mckmama...

One blog i really love to keep up with is headed up by mckmama.... check it out here... http://www.mycharmingkids.net/
She is charming and i love to read about her life and trials as a mommy of 4 mckids!

She is always doing various giveaways and the newest post is the product of her receiving a new fridge - a gorgeous, large, stainless steel fridge that holds 6 gallons of milk!! Fantastic!!
http://mckgiveaways.blogspot.com/2009/10/amazing-best-buy-giveaway.html
The prize is a $200 Best Buy gift card. Mckmama tasked us with leaving a comment on her blog and then blogging about it ourselves. What a fantastic gift I could get for my gang!! A new fridge!! oh, how it would make things easier!! My gift to my self (well, to the family) last year was a new washer/dryer set but with the layoff... well you know how that goes!!
Good luck to all the other "contestants".....

Summer begins

Here it is... the summer has started and the kids are out of school. They are bored already! It is going to be a LONG summer at this rate. Soon they will be off to Texas and New Mexico to visit grandparents... I miss them when they are gone even though they are teenagers. It will not be too long until Matt will have a job and a car and will not want to visit out of town for the summer.

It has been really nice being able to stay home with the kids since I was laid off, but I need to work! I need to have the adult interaction and accomplish something outside of the house. I know my little Logan will have a hard time when I do go back since we have been spending a lot of time together.
(I think I will too... but don't tell anyone...)

I hope I find something soon...

Yet another monday...

... and a holiday from school and the after school activities for a day. I have just returned from taking the test for the US Census Bureau (maybe a job??)

My Logan is next door with Grandma. Matt & Meghan were visiting their dad this weekend so the house is very quiet. A little too quiet since I have become very accustomed to the noise of everyday life with Logan... and Disney and Matchbox cars and everything that surrounds him. He is my angel. Before I had children, I did not understand my mothers constant need to know where I was going, what was I doing and with whom... it seemed never ending. Now I understand how much my life revolves around these 3 human beings. I love my life and could not imagine it being any different. I love them so much. I have not always made the best decisions in my life but the decisions that I have made have brought me to this point... I can not regret any in the past. Decisions that have brought me happiness & heartache... marriage, divorce & marriage again. I have tried to live my life as a good person and abide by the teachings of my church... but I have fallen along the way - not always making the right decision according to those who would judge... but I have not lost my faith. After high school, I "questioned" my faith. A lot of things happened around me (I lost 4 friends in the span of a few months) and I questioned "How could this happen?" It took me a while to realize that God never left me and that he was always there for me. It took having two of my children to have medical conditions that required surgery to realize that - to leave it up to the skills of the surgeons and Him. They are both doing well... Meghan has grown up strong and Logan is still recovering. I realized that I could not control everything around me and now I leave things in His hands... and I feel more content... more at peace...

I thank God everyday for the blessings in my life... I do not always have a good day but try not to worry as much. Things are just things... I have an amazing life and 3 amazing children who I adore and a man who loves me for me... what more could I need. (ok... i need a job but i am not worrying about that right now) I love my life just as it is...

Another Monday...

... and i am resuming my position as chauffer to my oldest children. Meghan (13) takes dance 3 days a week and is in 4 classes and is a teachers assistant in another 2. Matt (15) is in Karate twice during the week but the hubby helps with that taxi service. Three days a week you will find me heading to the dance studio after picking them up from school. I take two classes there a week... tap & jazz. The studio finally roped me in as a student after 6 years as a "observer". I am so blessed to have such a great family and such kind children... even though as i type Matt is getting on my last nerve by swinging his Ipod in front of my computer screen. This is because I am not willing to run out and buy him a soda & donuts to quench his everlasting hunger pangs. He is 6feet (almost) of complete misery when he is hungry. I love this kid more than anything but i am tempted to tape his mouth shut with duct-tape.... oh lord help me!!! If this is my job in life, can I apply for a different position? heehee Just kidding.
